With a long and proud history, Lithuania is a fascinating place to visit. A lively cultural life with numerous art festivals, the Baroque old city of Vilnius, hill of crosses of Sauliai, and fishing village of Nida with beaches and dunes are some of its attractions. Explore the Trakai castle, a 14th century palace, or Kaunas, with an attractive centre, a couple of unique museums and several good restaurants and bars. The restored port city of Klaipeda makes a nice stopover en route to the Neringa resorts. After dark, both young and old hit the streets with bars and clubs staying open till late.
