Birthplace of Gaberial Fahrenheit, Gdansk on the Gulf of Danzig is one of Poland's loveliest cities. Although it suffered substancial damage during WWII, many buildings and monuments have been restored and you can still see rows of original ornate houses in the Old City. Water sports like yachting, canoeing are great fun in this water-bounded city. With excellent restaurants, pubs and nightclubs, this is a good city to visit.
