Nestled in the magnificent harbour, known as the Rade de Brest, the city of Brest is surrounded by headlands and cliffs. Most of the main attractions are within walking distance. These include reminders of the city’s world war two past, such as the German submarine and the medieval castle, housing the National Marine Museum. Seafood is the local specialty.
